About us.
We’re Kari and Chris Morgan. We founded Westbrook Court in 2011 - a rambling 17th-century farmhouse with extraordinary views across the Wye and Golden Valleys - and have been making it our own ever since.

Kari’s background in London property and interior design has shaped its mix of art, colour, contemporary pieces and things collected along the way; Chris is a lifelong traveller and the man behind much of what happens outdoors, including planting our 500-tree woodland by hand. Together we’ve created the sort of country house we always wanted to escape to ourselves: beautiful but relaxed, full of books, music, long walks, good food, fires and people around the table.
We’re both equally attached to the landscape and the independently creative spirit around us. Kari works with Visit Herefordshire and Hay-on-Wye Chamber of Commerce, while between us we’re always discovering another walk, maker, artist, grower, pub or restaurant worth telling our guests about.
Westbrook Court has never really been designed as a holiday house; it has evolved through the way we live, the places we’ve travelled and the people we love having here.
For a few days, we hope you’ll simply make it yours.
